Odd Pocket is an exciting and exuberant instrumental quintet that combines expressions from many different genres into a colorful cocktail! The band consists of young, award-winning jazz musicians and plays exploratory original music by drummer/bandleader Jens Emil Jensen Here you can experience a flourishing take on a modern jazz sound, where vibraphone tones merge with a jumble of wind instruments, electric guitar and pulsating grooves from drums and bass The music is characterized by lots of quirky rhythms, beautiful melodies and playful improvisations - all with an attentive and dynamic interplay, and an outgoing approach that invites all curious listeners into Odd Pockets' quirky sound universe. Back in 2020, Odd Pocket released their debut EP "How Time Floats" to a great reception. For this concert, the band presents a mix of "old hits" and exciting new music that they have been working on lately.
