The difficult conversation is often one that deals with loss and the threat of loss. We will talk about how to listen when people talk about their life values, and how we can engage in a conversation about existential themes. When faced with serious illness and traumatic events, many people experience an "existential shock" that can change their perception of the meaning and purpose of life.
