Bacteria's secret communication Based on her research, Fatima Al Zahra'a Alatraktchi shows how even the smallest organisms struggle with cooperation, communication, survival and conflict - just like we humans do. Her personal story is intertwined with the tale of the secret life of bacteria. Fatima Al Zahra'a Alatraktchi is an associate professor in translational biomedicine at Roskilde University and author of the book Possessed by Bacteria (2026). In each edition of KIB the Change we come into close contact with a life form: it can be moss, algae, fungi and microbes.
