Powerlessness - and the art of becoming powerless

We can't master everything. In a time when we are obsessed with being able to control, optimize and master as much as possible, we delve into how the very pursuit of mastering life makes us more powerless. Drawing on sociology, psychology, philosophy and theology, we focus on a paradox of our time: Powerlessness is accelerating, while we as modern people have lost the language for it. Joachim Meier, licensed psychologist and external associate professor in psychology at Aarhus University and consultant at Clavis Business Psychology, delivers in this lecture an existential contemporary diagnosis and a confrontation with the notion that everything can - and should - be mastered. Learn how we as humans can become powerless in a modern society that would rather forget about powerlessness.
