Discover why jazz is music's most curious and eclectic genre Over the past four years in the Listening Club, we have explored how jazz has been expressed across time and geographical regions Apart from a single listening club in the spring of 2025 focused on jazz and hip-hop, however, we haven’t delved any further into how jazz has been explored in conjunction with other genres. Now the time has come. This jazz listening club is dedicated to jazz's crossover encounters with other genres, with the unifying theme being examples of crossover in which distinct jazz elements remain intact This includes, among other things, elements such as improvisation, where musicians can respond to one another in the moment, the rhythms and rhythmic flexibility of jazz, as well as the more complex harmonies and chords that have also characterized the many trends and movements withinthe jazz tradition. - Date: 7 October 2026 - Time: 19:00–21:00 - Venue: Roskilde Bibliotek - Address: Dronning Margrethes Vej 14, Roskilde, Denmark - Admission: Free
