Did farm workers in the early 1900 s read literature? Learn more about this question in this reading group, where we delve into poetry and literature in farm workers' trade magazines. The reading group explores the connection between literature and agriculture, between words and rebellion. In the reading group "Literature and Agricultural Revolutions", we explore the relationship of political literature to agriculture from past to present. The three sessions are led by researchers from the Workers' Museum's current project The Forgotten Cultural and Literary History of the Professional Press. This material will be zoomed in on in the first session, where we read and discuss examples of the literary content in 'Tyende-Bladet' and 'Landarbejderen'. These will be both classics and curiosities. The next two times we will follow the further development of agricultural literature.
