"Holbæk Jazz Club gives the audience the opportunity to play and tell stories to each other about old Danish jazz via their own vinyl records/78 s. It will also be possible to play audio files The evening will begin with a short presentation about the origins and importance of jazz in Denmark. More info about this evening later! The focus is on the childhood of jazz in Denmark. What music flowed out of the speakers in the era of the vinyl record? What did the spread of jazz records mean in relation to the broader development of jazz throughout the country? The Danish Jazz 100 Years project has been launched to secure the status of Danish jazz history as an important cultural heritage.
