The Workers' Songbook is 100 years old. And tonight we celebrate! We focus on some of the immortals who tell a special story about how the songbook was to gather and frame life in the movement. In 1926, the most rebellious songs were rejected in favor of the more popular national songs. The Workers' Information Association was aligned with the Social Democrats' line that wanted to unite the entire people and make Danish cultural heritage accessible to the workers. This strategy left its mark on the choice of songs in the Workers' Songbook. We can reveal that Jeppe Aakjær is the songbook's most invincible contributor.
