Magnussen and journalist Mette Sofie Thrane take the audience very close to real-life police work, where Danish officers enter scenes characterized by chaos and unbearable decisions. The lecture is based on a number of real cases, which are also described in the book A Thin Blue Line, and provides a rare insight into the moments when everything is at stake. Mette Sofie Thrane conveys the stories as a journalist and interviewer, while Martin Q. Magnussen shares his experiences from the front line. Together they open the door to the police's most crucial minutes, the difficult aftermath and the people left behind when the sirens are turned off.
