Look forward to a cultural melting pot of North and East African music traditions mixed with krautrock and postpunk when Swiss Yalla Miku visits KLEIN on October 10th. Doors at 8:00 PM. Concert at 8:30 PMYalla Miku is a five-person collective from Geneva's musical underground, where post-punk, afrofunk, dub, krautrock and psychedelic rock meet musical traditions from, among others, East Africa and the Middle East The result is a restless and dancing sound universe that constantly changes shape but never loses its drive. The band consists of Samuel Ades Tesfagergsh, Louise Knobil, Cyril Bondi, Emma Souharce and Cyril Yeterian, who together move between krar, bass, guitar, percussion, synthesizers and electronics. All five contribute vocally, and the songs move across languages including Arabic, French and Tigrinya.
