On Thursday, September 24, Aabenraa Municipality will hold a large volunteer party at Sydbank Arena Aabenraa. The volunteer party will take place between 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM. The Volunteer Festival aims to pay tribute to and recognize the municipality's many volunteers across the cultural and leisure sectors, social, health and senior sectors, as well as volunteers in, for example, local councils in rural areas. The volunteer festival was first held on September 29, 2022, with 850 volunteers participating. The Volunteer Festival takes place during the national volunteer week in week 39, where the purpose is to celebrate and recognize volunteering. The program for the evening is:Welcome and singing Live music on stage by Sissel Allstars Jazz Quintet Presentation of municipal awards in the field of volunteering Dinner Entertainment features The event isexclusivelyfor volunteers in Aabenraa Municipality and places are offered for up to 1,200 volunteers.
