Classical percussion: solo concert with Malte Vendelby

Come in and experience a unique solo concert where Malte Vendelby will demonstrate the magic of classical percussion through a series of exciting works performed solo. We are pleased to present this unique opportunity to dive deep into the engine room of the classical percussionist. About the concert:At this concert, I will present works by Ravel, Nørgaard, Xenakis and myself. The works are characterized by a feeling of being outside of time and place. With long, patient and moving phrases, I will guide the audience into a state of levitation. The concert will feature two of my own compositions. One work, "Antarctica" for soloist on percussion and piano, is a musical journey across the Antarctic continent, written in 2021. The second work "Four Impressions" for vibraphone is a musical story withbased on Holger Drachmann's stories about the fisherman and rescuer Lars Kruse. The work was composed in 2025 and premiered the same year in the Frihavnskirken in Østerbro.
