The performance The Bench offers a warm and authentic look at the everyday encounters that suddenly turn a completely ordinary day into something special. An elderly lady sits on her usual park bench. She wants to be alone. But around her, life is buzzing: a man with his newspaper, a boy on a skateboard, chirping birds, and a curious dog. She guards "her" bench and does everything she can to keep life at bay. But behind the grumpy exterior lies something vulnerable, and the old lady slowly discovers that in these unexpected encounters, a connection can arise - perhaps even a friendship - that she didn't know she was missing. With its simple scenography and expressive puppets, 'The Bench' creates a strong story that both children and adults can relate to.
