Albert Camus is one of the most influential thinkers and writers of the 20th century, and he received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957. Based on Camus' life and classics such as The Stranger, The Plague and The Myth of Sisyphus, literary critic Sidsel Sander Mittet unfolds Camus's thoughts on freedom, responsibility and man's search for meaning in a seemingly meaningless world. The lecture also focuses on the existential and societal questions that make Camus as relevant today as when he wrote his most famous works.
