Denmark's first thousand years are the period from the year 400 to 1400. How did Denmark come into being? Anders Lundt Hansen will give an answer on a Monday evening and a Tuesday morning. For centuries, historians have been searching for the answer. A solution is approaching Once the Danish kings had gained power, they did not relinquish it. They erected runestones to show their power, and sent hundreds of sail-bearing longships across the waves. History took the form of a struggle between kings who wanted to centralize power and nobles who wanted to preserve their freedom.
