Visible Mending has become popular in recent years, and now you can get acquainted with the Japanese textile tradition Boro, where repair and aesthetics go hand in hand. In this workshop, Kristina Madsen shows you how to make simple sashiko stitches and techniques for visible repair and creative beautification of clothing and other textile projects. We work with the characteristic Japanese patchwork expression and give worn textiles new life through handwork. All materials are included, but if you have a piece of clothing you would like to repair or beautify, you can bring it. The workshop is open to both beginners and experienced practitioners.
