Dye your own yarn

We dye here with color pigments and vinegar or citric acid and salt. Dyeing in this way is very sustainable if you consider the consumption of water and electricity. We're going to dye solid, mottled, speckled (or "speckled yarn") - and do it in different ways: in a pot, in a steel tray and in the microwave. We'll also talk about mixing colors. The course requires no prior knowledge. Materialsused in the course: yarn for swatches and dyes are included in the course price Please bring with you:apron, rubber gloves, paper and writing utensils for your own notes. You may also bring samples of your own yarn. The trainers Mette Jørgensen and Birgit Nielsen have both taught needlework and have worked with hand-dyeing yarn for many years. You can make coffee or tea free of charge, but you must bring your own food - you can make arrangements during the course.
