Stine Askov talks about her path into the world of writing, the creation of "Austerity" and her view on the film adaptation. Kerteminde Libraries offers this lecture in collaboration with Munkebo Culture and Library Friends. Stine Askov is known for her sharp and humorous look at human relationships and social structures. This is clearly evident in her novel "Nøjsomheden". The book is about Mona, who lives in the Nøjsomheden ghetto in Elsinore with her family. The novel, as well as the residential area, is filled with quirky existences - but also strong women. Film director Hella Joof is behind the film adaptation of Austerity, which will hit theaters in the fall of 2026. For this lecture, Stine shares stories about her journey into the world of writing and about the people who have inspired her to write. She delves into the depths of her writing and provides insight into the background of "Austerity", as well as her view on the film adaptation.
