Kulturhuset had the pleasure of having this choir perform this spring for the annual "Transgender Visibility Day" in March. It was such a fantastic experience that we asked them to come again this fall. QQQ was established in August 2020 by Jon Hollesen and Cristina Rex. Today, Queer Qhoir Copenhagen, under the direction of Kim Barkenskjold Andersen, consists of approximately 30 choir singers, both LGBT+ and allied, whose ages range widely. It is an ambitious choir, with a twinkle in its eye, that makes a virtue out of being visible in the queer community and singing relevant songs. The repertoire is primarily rhythmic, with genres including pop, ballads, musicals and jazz, often in 8-part arrangements.
