Come and learn more about a new field within Danish neuroscience, namely single-born twins. On the occasion of the book "The nervous system of singleton twins" - the first book on the subject in Denmark - Annika Spanggaard, a neurospecialist with a psychomotor and physiotherapeutic background, explains how the loss of a twin in the womb can affectnervous system of a person throughout life. Most often it is something that you are not aware of, as it usually happens early in pregnancy. However, it can manifest itself later in, for example, an increased stress response, sensitivity, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relational challenges, etc. The lecture provides a rare insight into a hidden biological and psychological imprint that many - up to one in 10 - carry without knowing it.
