Meet author Nanna Holm in a conversation with librarian Marianne Träff about her debut novel Røde Port. Røde Port is a powerful novel about friendship, longing and the ghosts of childhood. The story takes place at a leisure group on Langeland in the late 1980 s, the adults dream big and party late, while the children have to navigate through unsafe days and nights. The children Aske, Gry and Mona grow up in a collective that is intended as a sanctuary characterized by community, political and social awareness. But the ideals are crumbling, and the place develops into an environment with awkward relationships, lack of responsibility, and borderline behavior.
