The Overtossen from Risskov - Louis Marcussen (1894-1985) Come and hear colorful stories about this special personality, spiced up with a backdrop of selected Ovartaci works. Louis Marcussen, who called himself Ovartaci, spent a total of 56 years of his life as a psychiatric patient, and along the way he created groundbreaking art that is only being truly discovered within the past five years. He believed that just as there were chief doctors at the hospital, there should also be a chief madman, and that was him. He has a remarkable story of destiny, which includes a 6-year journey to Argentina as a young man (where he found himself among indigenous people in the jungle), mental journeys back to previous bodies in Egypt, China and India, and a gender change. All of this can be seen closely reflected in art.
