Apple orchards, cabbage orchards, hop gardens and ornamental gardens need to be maintained year-round. Come and get new inspiration for your own garden. In the 19th century, people were self-sufficient, and every farm and homestead had gardens - orchards, hop gardens and cabbage gardens. Here, local vegetables and fruit were harvested for cooking and eating, depending on the season. Some also had ornamental gardens with beautiful perennials and neat garden paths.
