29.9. at 7 pm Lecture: After Estonia. Morten Boje Hviid was the only Dane to survive the sinking of the Estonia. But survival came with a price. Europe's worst shipping disaster occurred on September 28, 1994, when the passenger ship ESTONIA sank on a stormy night en route from Tallinn to Stockholm. 852 died. 132 miraculously survived after more than 4 hours in the icy water. In 1998, Morten Boje Hviid published the book - "I Wanted to Survive"The event is in collaboration with the Elderly Affairs Association.
