Drawing inspiration from Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen’s sculptures of the human body, we will explore how we are shaped as human beings through our interactions and resonance with others We will examine the spaces between bodies in motion; how our different bodies resonate with one another and create new rhythms, languages, and identities Through simple physical movement exercises, we will explore the human being as a relational entity that is formed through encounters with others—as a relational ecology. Through movements, sketches, our own experiences, and stories, we will create the works We will incorporate non-traditional art materials, just as Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen used household butter in her works and in the wax she produced.
