Introduction to Gothic handwriting and entering archival material in Kildetasteren. In our Gothic workshop you will get tools that can help you untie the "Gothic knot." In the workshop you will hear about our self-developed Gothic Picture Book, which is a tool that, together with other tools, can help you learn to read Gothic handwriting as it was written in the first half of the 19th century. Together we will enter some entries from the funeral records so you can get an idea of how to use the new tools in practice. No prerequisites are required to participate, just a desire to learn new things. We serve coffee/tea and cake. We practice together. The purpose of the workshop is to improve your ability to read Gothic handwriting, so that you will have the courage to enter funeral records from Assistent Cemetery into the source code.
