Danhostel Rønde and Aros Adventure invite you to a series of theme evenings in 2026, where local history is communicated where it originated - in the landscape Each evening begins with a guided story and hike with nature guide and educator Hother Hennings from Aros Adventure. Participants then gather for a communal meal at Danhostel Rønde, where there is plenty of time for conversation, questions and reflection The events can be experienced individually or as a complete program. Viking Age around Aarhus Bay - defense and connections Thursday, October 1 from 17-20 The evening is about the Viking Age landscape around Aarhus Bay. The focus is on defense, mounds, navigation and connections between coast, inland and city. How was the area monitored and defended? What role did the mounds, the bay and the waterways play? A tale of an active and strategic landscape.
