Join us on a vibrant and sensual journey through Røsnæs' summer land. "Summer houses on Røsnæs" is a story about summer houses on Røsnæs since 1875. We follow the development from the first boarding houses for relatives at the Coast Hospital until 2025, where large, new and renovated summer houses are emerging. This is the first time that history has been written. There is no literature on the development of the summer house on Røsnæs, unlike North Zealand, Odsherred and Skagen. The development of the summer house on Røsnæs is different from other places in Denmark. On Røsnæs, it was forward-thinking representatives of larger public institutions, such as the Coastal Hospital and professional organizations, who took the lead in building summer houses, rather than artists and private wealthy individuals.
