Through stories and panels, a nuanced picture of everyday life is drawn in a time characterized by fixed rules of conduct, clear social order, and a calmer pace. The lecture provides insight into both daily life and larger societal issues, including the occupation, security policy, economic changes and cultural trends. The audience gets a comprehensive insight into a period when Denmark underwent significant changes. Peter Skovmos Nielsen is a retired education manager and ambassador for the Christmas Stamp Foundation. His fee for the lecture goes entirely to the foundation.
