Lise Villadsen has written a captivating and disturbing psychological thriller about childlessness, relationships and jealousy. 37-year-old Irene has a great desire to become a mother. She is married to Thomas, who is a priest, and they have been trying to have a child for several years. Now they are going to start fertility treatment. At the same time, a family moves in next door - mother, father and two children On the surface they look happy, but Irene observes them and senses that something is hiding beneath the polished surface.
