Then there is the opportunity to hear or re-hear Olivier Franc's Quintet, who played here in the jazz club with great success in March 2019 and in February 2022. Look forward to a quintet where the master of soprano saxophone and clarinet, Oliver Franc, has in the best possible way continued and developed the legendary style that made soprano saxophonist Sidney Bechet (1897-1959) world famous. The concert also includes compositions from both Olivier himself and his son, pianist Jean Baptiste Franc. In addition to Oliver Franc, the quintet consists, as mentioned, of Jean Baptiste Franc, who is an excellent accompanist and soloist. He is a master at playing solo numbers, in which he shows his lyrical and virtuoso sides - including in classical pieces that slowly develop into jazz numbers. In addition, the experienced trombonist Benoit de Flamesnil, the bassist Amaïda Ambassa and the drummer Schaël Michanol.
