Lecture with Tor Nørretranders: Old Age Rebellion

Tor Nørretranders, one of Denmark's most well-known communicators of natural science, culture and philosophy, will be visiting Assens Library this evening based on the book "Alderdomsoprør" (Ageing Revolt). In Tor Nørretranders' book, "Alderdomsoprør", he calls on good old people to fight for the world that is passed on to the next generations with all the wisdom that has been gained through a long life. He draws attention to the potential for change that the older part of the population has. The world needs serenity. The world needs an old age uprising. Soon generations will grow up who don't remember there being fish in the seas, snow on the roads, and wild food in the gardens. That's why it's important to have good old people who have experienced greater diversity in nature and more community in society than is left today. There's a lot of sense in using the energy of old age to take better care of the world. It gives peace of mind. Old people can remember an old world - with more nature and more kindness than today.
