Experience With books such as 'Kastaniealleen' (1974), 'Hvide løgne' (1995) and 'Vinterbørn' (1976), Dea Trier Mørch's writings provided a rare insight into women's lives, into political communities and into the great upheavals that the Danish welfare society underwent inthroughout her life.'Winter Children' became Mørch's popular breakthrough when the novel sold over 100,000 copies and was later made into a film in 1978. The novel depicts 18 women who are admitted to the maternity ward at Rigshospitalet in 1975.
