Swedish singer and composer Iris Bergcrantz conveys traditional Swedish folk music and jazz in her own unique way. She has been praised for her rich voice and simple phrasing - a contemporary take on Swedish vocal jazz. She has listened to and been inspired by all the great vocal role models, and yet she has created her own style. Iris Bergcrantz has released several albums under her own name: 'Young Dreams', which was nominated for a Danish Music Award for best vocal jazz album in 2020 In 2022, 'Trasighet och Fransar' was released, where she interprets music by the Swedish composer Olle Adolphsson, whose songs have been immortalized by Monica Zetterlund, among others. She has performed in Berlin, New York, London and several other places in Europe. In 2019, she was nominated for a Swedish Grammy with the group Åkervinda and in 2022 her quartet performed in Allsång at Skansen.
