Life in a state of emergency. When special needs and mental vulnerability are part of everyday life On Wednesday, September 30th at 7-9 pm, the Autism Association Kreds Sydvestjylland invites you to a lecture at Vejen Library with parent mentor Dorthe Stieper, who will talk about being parents of children with autism."Most people probably remember the lockdown during Corona. How we had to isolate ourselves and find alternative ways to organize our family and work lives, while constantly living in uncertainty about how long this would last.""Such a life in a state of emergency is often everyday life and living conditions if you have a child - regardless of age - with special needs and mental vulnerability," says Dorthe Stieper, who works as a mentor for relatives on a daily basis. She is herself the mother of a daughter who suffered from severe mental distress while in school.
