A monologue performance. New Danish drama. Age group: From 15 years. Duration: 50 min without intermission ON THE ROAD is an interactive tragicomic monologue about homelessness and loneliness. Through humor and nerve, ON THE ROAD creates dialogue and reflection across generations, and invites the audience to meet the people we otherwise overlook in everyday life. In the performance, actor Rasmus Arved Monrad embodies an entire street scene of colorful characters. In the midst of the chaos of street life stands a homeless man, who is overlooked by passersby day by day, while he slowly languishes. ON THE ROAD takes place in a raw space without fixed rows of chairs. The audience and actors share the floor, so the audience becomes a form of living scenography and thus becomes an active part of the performance's story.
