Create your own quiz and clicker games with Scratch

In this workshop, children learn to code a quiz with a self-chosen topic and a clicker game. The workshop starts with the children creating their very own quiz on a topic of their choice. They then code a clicking game - inspired by Cookie Clicker - where they learn about variables (points, countdown, highscore), other game elements and see where they can download images from the internet that they are welcome to use. Both the quiz and the game are expandable, so there are plenty of opportunities to explore and get even better! Practical info:For children who can read on their own. Bring a laptop (we have a few computers that can be borrowed by arrangement). Scratch is available in several versions, both for download and online. Information about this will be sent out approximately 1 week before the workshop. Parents are welcome to participate.
