How do you write book number two in a crime series when expectations are high and doubts arise? In this lecture, Louise Nielsen talks about the process behind Nightfall, the second book in the series Night's Deeds. She honestly shares the challenges that come with writing the second book in a series, the pressure of expectations, personal struggles, and periods where the desire to write has completely disappeared. Along the way, the audience gets a look into the engine room behind her crime novels: How do you further develop characters that have already come to life on the pages, and how do you create an even darker and more complex plot? The lecture also provides an insight into the universe from the debut novel Night Wanderer and the family secrets and human dilemmas that run like a common thread through the series.
