You will join a time travel in Bangsbo's history, starting in the 14th century. The farm has been owned by a number of prominent people, including Johan Knudsen, who transformed the idyllic surroundings into a haven for his culturally radical artist friends. The tour also passes by our impressive maritime exhibition, where you can experience the Ellingå ship from 1163. The large ship is connected to the overall history of Frederikshavn. The port also played a central role during the occupation, with Frederikshavn being one of the main targets when Denmark was occupied. We will tell you more about this historical period during the tour of the museum's occupation exhibition, which contains a myriad of unique objects.
