Birds abound in the College Songbook. In fact, at least one bird appears in every third college song. But due to the biodiversity crisis, many of the highly praised birds are categorized as extinct or endangered species. Therefore, Mikkel Skovgaard believes that they require a new narrative, and that through our common songs we may be able to equip ourselves for a better understanding of our nature. Mikkel Skovgaard is a trained historian and communicator of the folk high school songbook.
