The exciting lecture Harald Moltke and Greenland in art, where we delve into Harald Moltke's northern lights and Greenland paintings and the Danish painters who worked in Greenland around 1900. The team for tonight's lecture is Harald Moltke's Northern Lights and Greenland Paintings and the Danish painters who worked in Greenland around 1900. Rasmus Kjærboe, curator at the Hirschsprung Collection, will introduce us to Harald Moltke's art and work in Greenland. He will also talk about the group of Danish artists who painted in Greenland during Moltke's time. The lecture is held on the occasion of the special exhibition in Knud Rasmussen's House, Knud Rasmussen dances in the timber workshop. To round off the evening, Rasmus Kjærboe and Søren la Cour from Knud Rasmussens Hus will talk about selected Moltke paintings from the museum's own collection, thereby incorporating both the art and cultural historical perspective on the works. Included in the ticket price are coffee, tea and cookies.
