Poul Petersen from Overdam Planteskole talks about grasses, perennials and naturalistic beds, where nature is the inspiration In continuation of our visit to Overdam Planteskole in 2024, Poul Petersen will come to talk about grasses, perennials and naturalistic beds (beds with nature as inspiration)We will be given a tour of this very interesting and important area, and we will get good ideas about plantings with perennials and grasses, their maintenance, their benefits and uses. The naturalistic form of planting has never been more important than now, when our insects are in such a bad situation. It is important to plant a combination of grasses and nectar plants (cultivated perennials) so that the insects have a "lunch box"Native species can be difficult to deal with, but cultivated perennials are robust, attractive and nutritious for insects. There will also be a small selection of grasses and perennials for sale at heavily discounted prices on this evening.
