Say hello to a crocodile - visit to Pangea Animal Park

Go on an adventure into the world of animals - without leaving the library! We are visited by two zookeepers and some of the animals from Pangea Park. Pangea Park is a small, family-friendly animal park with many different kinds of animals - including a lot of reptiles. For example, you can meet a small crocodile, a snake and an owl. The crocodile is a West African dwarf crocodile - the world's smallest crocodile species. The animals are endangered in the wild, but Pangea Park has managed to get them to breed and thus help preserve the species. And crocodiles and snakes are thermophilic animals that need to be recharged to avoid completely shutting down. This fits right in with the library's theme for the fall, "Shut Down."You will have the opportunity to get up close to the exciting animals, hear fascinating stories and experience the animals in a safe, educational and entertaining way.
