We are facing a flood of AI-created fake news. How can we best protect ourselves? Author, civil engineer, tech and AI expert Anders Bæk explains this in his exciting and informative lecture. AI is the most powerful technology in history. Such a powerful technology does not come without risks, and one of the biggest is AI-generated misinformation. AI is an eerily effective deepfake generator that can create images and videos in a few seconds that are very difficult to identify as fake. For example, you can quickly generate a lifelike image of Donald Trump and Mette Frederiksen holding hands and looking deep into each other's eyes... Studies indicate that within a few years, a significant portion of all content on the internet will be AI-generated. We are therefore facing a future where it may become almost impossible to distinguish between real and AI-created material.
