Marianne's passion for foot and ankle surgery stems from the challenge and fascination of the structure of the foot. The laws of physics and our dependence on our feet to function in order to live an active and social life. Marianne Toft's passion for Foot and Ankle Surgery stems from the challenge and fascination of the structure of the foot, the laws of physics, and our dependence on our feet functioning in order to live an active and social life. Marianne's knowledge, education and mastery have been achieved both here in Denmark and in Melbourne, Australia. The foundation for her work as a Foot and Ankle Surgeon is based on her own experiences, sparring with colleagues and evidence from international articles and literature. Most recently, Marianne has been the initiator of a large national, multicenter randomized study investigating the effect of individualized treatment of Achilles tendon rupture. The study received DKK 50,000 in support from the Danish Arthritis Association.
