What does AI do to our notions of judgment, responsibility and humanity? And where is the line between new technological possibilities and ethics? These are the questions that Thomas Ploug, a professor at Aalborg University and researcher in AI ethics, addresses in this lecture. He opens the debate with a starting point from the touching futuristic novel Clara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro, which is about a special friendship between a girl and an artificial intelligence.
