What to know

Reading event with poets and wordsmiths Poets and wordsmiths from Text to Time and Young Danish Poets share their love for the pen: writing, the word, and language. They will perform a series of texts, written after presentations from Huda Chaaban, co-leader of Frontløberne and PC Asmussen, author and former circus director at the Gøglerskolen. Huda's presentation is based on the Palestinian author and political activist Ghassan Kanafani's book "Men in the Sun", based on his belief in the power of the pen as a tool to create resistance. PC Asmussen's presentation is based on his experiences in various writing groups with writing as a liberating force among homeless people, prisoners, ordinary and extraordinary Danes with diagnoses, climate anxiety, you name it... The event will be framed by hanging literary texts, selected by Silas Stochholm (co-chairman of Young Danish Poets). The texts will subsequently be exhibited at the library. Come and listen!
