Lecture with Kasper Futterup. How do you get back up when life completely collapses? In 1996, Kasper Futterup was hospitalized with psychosis for a whole year and was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. Today, he lives a life without medication, without symptoms and with a full-time job. Kasper has worked for several years on the psychosis ward S 2 in Gødstrup, and will soon start a new job as a recovery specialist at Tangkær. In the lecture, Kasper talks honestly and warmly about his own path through the darkness and back to a meaningful everyday life. Along the way, he connects his experiences to simple theories that make it easier to understand what can push a person into mental illness - and what can help them get back on their feet.
