With humor, honesty and personal stories, Julie Nymann invites young people and their parents to see dyslexia from a new angle and explore the strengths, opportunities and perspectives that can also come with it. Visual artist Julie Nymann draws on her own experiences with dyslexia and talks about how she went from hiding her dyslexia to letting it become a driving force in her artistic work. As part of the art project The Benefits of Being Dyslexic, Julie interviewed 80 people with dyslexia aged 9-70 and asked them the same question: "What is the benefit of being dyslexic?"With humor, honesty, and personal stories, Julie invites young people and their parents to see dyslexia from a new angle and explore the strengths, opportunities, and perspectives that can also come with it.
