Classical concert: Lara Biancalana and Benjamin Skydsgaard

Cellist Lara Biancalana and pianist Benjamin Skydsgaard, both students in the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, take us on an atmospheric journey through the large and rich repertoire for cello and piano. Through Gabriel Fauré's lyrical and intimate atmosphere, Nadia Boulanger's mysterious and hidden tonal language and Sergei Rachmaninov's grandiose romanticism, we travel far and wide in the musical landscape. The program is centered around Rachmaninov's cello sonata, a favorite piece for both musicians and a monumental work in its own right. In addition, Boulanger's three pieces for cello and piano represent a strong contrast with its mysterious and subdued expression, while Fauré's Sicilienne invites our ears into a warm and intimate living room. Lara and Benjamin are both studying in the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and are both looking forward to sharing their music with you!
